This is the second engagement session I have done for this couple. When we went home a few months ago, they called and wanted a session, and then when they found out we were going home for the Memorial weekend and going to be at Bear Lake, they called and requested a session on the beach. I think I was more excited to do this session than I was to actually be on vacation on the beach!
We scheduled our session LATER in the evening. I kept watching the clock and looking at the clouds and sun...I am going to lose my lighting. NO! NO! NO! I really want this to work out. As soon as they arrived, we darted to the beach. It was the FASTEST session I have ever done because we were running around trying to get as many pictures and poses before we lost our lighting. And then it happened...the most BEAUTIFUL sunset ever! I wasn't planning on that, but hey, there are NO complaints coming from me!!!
This is one of my favorite pictures. Everyone thinks I am crazy. A picture of nothing....EXACTLY!...it lets you create the part of the scene that isn't photographed.
I warned you it was a beautiful sunset! Only problem...because I was shooting THEM, I didn't get any of my family with the sunset. No worries, maybe the next day or the next...WRONG...dark rain clouds for the rest of the weekend. I don't know if we even seen the sun after this evening. Next time for sure!
How romantic! Dancing in the sunset on the beach. Maybe I should have left!? Nah, I LOVE being the interfering photographer!
Can you tell she is a dancer?
